Prison Terminal: Free film screening & community discussion
When inmate Jack Hall became terminally ill inside the Iowa State Penitentiary, his fellow prisoners volunteered to provide his hospice care. This moving documentary takes us inside a maximum security prison to learn more about Jack’s final months and the power of hospice to transform everyone involved. Join us for a free screening of the film, followed by a discussion of hospice care for prisoners with filmmaker Edgar Barens, as well as Marvin Mutch and other volunteers with the San Quentin Hospice project.
Refreshments will be served. For more information about the film, visit https://www.prisonterminal.com/. For questions about the screening, please call Susan at 650.532.2396.

The Brothers Keepers are a select group of inmates trained to be highly skilled peer counselors. We are guiding and supporting the Brothers Keepers in their work as caregivers for fellow inmates who are suffering from disease, old age, and ultimately at the end of life.
